From community festivities to local shops, restaurants, and entertainment Allen Park is surely one of Downriver's treasured cities. The Detroit suburb was once recognized in Money Magazine's list of America's best small cities, the city has a total area of 7.05 square miles.

I-75 runs through the southeast corner, I-94 runs through the northern portion and M-39/Southfield runs in a Northwest/Southeast direction making travel to and from Allen Park convenient.

Allen Park is home of the worlds largest model tire, originally a ferris wheel at the 1964 New York State fair, the large Uniroyal tire has been home to Allen Park since 1966.

The city is also where the Detroit Lions training facility is located and just 20 minutes away from Fordfield where the Lions play their home games

The city is also known for local shops in the quaint downtown area but offers commercial shopping at its very own Fairlane Green known as The Hill by locals
